I live in WA state and my boat will be in a non-heated garage for winter... I will not be operating in cold weather so I don't need freeze temp protection.

What coolant burst temp should I aim for in my coolant?

I got some CAMCO BanFrost 2000 from boatersworld...

any experience with this product?

Re: burst temp and coolant

Did you not go with a Fwc set up?....

Your set up takes up about 4 gallons....
The preferred mix is 50/50.....
Don't waste time using pink stuff to save a few bucks at this point....
Use the Prestone or equivalent....
They have rust inhibitors that non toxic doesn't....
Strain it like Willy said when the time comes....
With 50/50 you won't have to worry about freezing......
But , the raw water side should be drained to prevent your PS cooler & exchanger from being damaged......:)

Not sure about your specific brand, but I would follow the instructions. Some common automotive coolants are premixed and some require a 50/50 mix.

Any mixture that will protect down to zero degrees should be sufficient for the PNW.

I wasn't sure if I should use ethylyene vs propylene glycol... they actually cost the same (some pink stuff is more expensive)...

some say use the pink stuff although the automotive prestone sounds like the best...and prestone has additives you can add to replenish the corrosion protection

the propylene glycol is a pure mix that is diluted to 50/50 or 60/40 and the burst temp is -50 to -63 depending on the mix...

what do you guys have in your FWC system?

I guess I'll go with prestone... even mercruiser recommends ethylene glycol on their website...

thanks
