new to boating need some help

hello fellas i recently puchased a 94 malibu skier. Its my first boat and it needs a little fixing up, nothing major though. My first question is on the left side under the windshield there is a hole thats about 12x14 inches or so. I know that there is supposed to be some kind of plasic tray that sits in there but it is gone. Ive searched on the internet but have came up with nothing. Is there like an official name for this piece? Does anyone know where i could find one? Also, just wondering were there any problems with these partiular boats that I should be aware of/replace/fix. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

i dont think it had a door on it or anyhting. i think it was jsut some kind of tray that sat inside the hole. the hole is horizontal on the top of the dash not vertical. It may still be called a glove box though im not sure on all my boat terminology yet.

Maybe just a plastic recessed tray like this with cup holders.

For particular things about your boat, including exactly WHAT used to occupy that hole in your dash, visit this site. I think you'll find out that detail and a LOT more. You'll surely have to register, just like you did here at iBoats.

Then if it wan't ever made with a door, and you want one, then glass one up with a mold and install with a piano hinge!

thanks for all yall's help. this boat is bad luck already, first day having it impeller is gone! it sat too long i guess, then on way home from the failed attempt to spend a day on the water the trailor tire blew! not fun but thanks alot guys!
