Saltwater Duty

I'm considering purchasing a special program Mercury OB from iBoats that was used exclusively in saltwater during its one year of duty. What special concens should I have? I'm not familiar with saltwater boating considerations.

you hae the same concerns as any outboard, plus the corrosion factor. How was it maintained. was it daily use, never flushed. etc.
