Hey, I'm pretty new to the boating scene, but learn A LOT everytime i take it out.

I've been doing some researching on here and google and can't seem to find a straight answer to my question.. .

can my '86 15hp johnson get a little help with electric start? (j15rcde) I was pondering the idea of a CHEAP steering system as well, but there is no point if i cant get electric start IMO.

thanks in advance!

thanks!

Yes, epoxy. It can be converted.

Check with your dealer for the parts, or you may find them at tcoutboard.com.

Good luck. :)

welcome to iboats. after you get the total cost, that rope pulling is going to look a lot better, or trade it. just sold a little boat that i did remote steering and controls. i just stood up turned around and pulled it. used controls off ebay, and ezguide stick steering. here's a look.

Your other way,and probably not as costly .......

see if you can find a shop with a blown similar 10 or 15 HP Johnson or Evinrude that has electric start, and buy the used parts as needed.
