Ok Guru's. I finaly found some seafoam, however they did not have deep creep. My engine is a mid 90's 15hp with a single carb, can I just put some of the seafoam in a spray bottle and mist it into the carb. OR is Deep creep different from the liquid seafoam? :}

Re: Sea Foam question

Only difference is there's no lablel on the container, probably plastic rather than metal, and your finger is the propellant. Same stuff.....says so on the can (if you had one). 8)

I use it in everything that runs.

Re: Sea Foam question

i would just dump the seafoam in the gas tank (gas+oil tcw3 mix) and run it till it finish, you'll see difference then.

Deep creep (the spray type), or regular can type in a spray bottle.. there is a method of de-carbing, search this site..

Re: Sea Foam question

Just use it in your fuel if you want to clean up the internal fuel system/carb. I suspect you are using a small tank, so best results will be obtained this way unless you feel that you need to decarb. Follow the below idea for spraying into spark plug holes or mix a very strong solution (1 can/1 gal gas/TCW3) and run the engine.
Spraying directly into your carb will have a tendency to wash away the oil which is your lubercation for the pistons/rings.
The only time you need spray is if you remove your spark plugs and spray into the holes onto the top of the pistons. Common sense should prevail in these situations.

Re: Sea Foam question

Now I am confused. How do I safely decarb this engine? I do not want to cause any damage or shorten the life of the engine.

Thanks!

Re: Sea Foam question

running it in the fuel is more of a preventative. you can warm the engine up on muffs, and spray into carb. this is a higher concentration than running in gas. spray it in to where it almost stalls, this is what breaks up the crud in the engine (it's gonna smoke like it's burning up) keep doing it until to smoke lightens up. then running it the gas will help clean the carb, but if the carb is really varnished up, the only help is a disassembly, soaking, and a rebuiled kit. there is nothing in seafoam that will hurt your engine. NEVER use starting fluid on a 2 stroke engine.

Re: Sea Foam question

Deep Creep is simply the spray version of SeaFoam. You can use SeaFoam in a spray bottle.

Re: Sea Foam question

Anyone have an opinion on Berryman's B-12, as a gas additive, in lieu of using Seafoam? It is sold at Walmart.
