Whats with the lid down thing? Is it a woman thing? Wife said she could hurt herself if she fell in while using the throne while half asleep. i said " no way that thing will fit through that little bitty hole"

The reason that the seat is on hinges is because it needs to be put down when being used and up when not in use. That way they don't get peed on in the dark.

There should be springs on all of them to hold them up when there is no weight on them, except that some people want the lid, as well as the seat, down when not in use.

My housekeeper used to do that. I peed on the lid one night when power was off.:%

I say put springs on them.8)
