That's how long it's been and what I am drinking.
I got up at 6 am to prepare for "The Project."
The project was to replace 400 sf of hardwood and subfloor. The old subfloor was too "bouncy" and taking a toll on the wifes antiques.
Before I could begin the true project, I had to break down and move a 95 gallon fish tank. You wouldn't believe how many hours it takes to get the fish into buckets, remove the substrate and drain the tank! Not to mention how long it takes to put it all back together.
Once the tank was out of the way, I ripped up the old hardwood (way beyond refinishing) and replace the 3/8" cdx subfloor with 3/4" sturdifloor. Who uses 3/8 cdx for subfloor? Then it was time for new 3/4" hardwood.
The new subfloor is in, the hardwood is down and the tank is back together (sans fish).
Here I sit waiting for the water to get warm enough to put the fish back in. The water coming out of the tap was 47 degrees. I've got it up to 70. At 72 I'll start transitioning the fish.
Wish me luck!
