Although I can't stand some of the new country sounds my hat is off to the CMA awards for not even recognizing the 3 traitors of the Grammy awards

I'm not a big country fan, but this is rather good, maybe because it doesn’t sound country to me. Of course maybe it’s not enough country to get into the CMA,either you think?

Hey Tree I didnt go to the link. But the chicks have a great talent as far as country music goes. You could say that they have helped shape CM in the last (two?) decades.

People who listen to country musoc are generally principaled and stand behind our flag and pres during war.

I will miss the chicks sound but not their politics. I did see alot of their CD's for sell at the mall Sunday. Must of been the latest album..

Let's remember that the biggest thing that kept, keeps them away from the CMA is not what they said about the President even tho it was a miniscule part of it.

It was about what the dumb chicks said about country singers in general. "Majority of country singers were stupid!"

And we all know that, that is not true.

And country singers do not need to use the"N" word 24 times or say that they are going to kill their boss to win an award.

And a country singer does not stand on stage to receive an CMA award for speaking aganist global warming as Al Gore," DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO!!!"

So I can understand why the chicks and Al Gore would stand together!! 8)

I think they are very talented. However, they opened their mouths in the political arena, in a way I find to be repulsive.

This new album, especially the hit song, is an in your face, I am a victim song. If I don't agree with the politics, along with much of the country music fanbase, why would I want to listen to it, buy it, or support awards. The grammy awards were more of an expression of their left leaning than it is about the music. This album did not earn the normal praise (artistic, financial, airplay, etc) that would be worthy of a grammy winner.

Frankly, I like the music of the song if I don't listen to the lyrics. However, the lyrics are self righteous and arrogant. This pissed off their consumers and dang it we should just fall in line and buy their stuff regardless - yea right.

I am happy their tour sucked.

Just got back and I see that apparently, treedancer and Haut Medoc think that the traitors mentioned were WHO, I did not mention any names the don't deserve any free publicity, after all thats what they were after in the first place--some will -hore for any reason - Bob
