how could my manual say it takes 23 ounces to fill the lower unit but it took 36 ounces until oil came out of the vent hole?

Probably a Seloc manual & they have the #'s transposed.....
36 is about right....
If you pumped it from the bottom until it came out of the vent hole, you done good.....
I can't figger why they don't just give you a container with the right amount or slightly more....:}
Other than they get to sell you an extra quart when you only need 4 oz. or so....
You are good to go......

thx. haut medoc. yeah, i filled er up and wanted to know for next time and, yes it is a seloc manual. any idea what the resistence should be for my spark plug wires on an '89 merc inline 4 cyl 3 litre 140 hp engine? i will post a thread. thx again, haut medoc. oh, and you too, zim, i guess?
