When in flight on an airplane and a death occurs, such as natural causes, heart attack etc:, the plane usually carries on to it's original destination.

You may not believe this, but in most cases the flight crew move the body to another seat, sitting the body in the up position, sometimes to a 1st class seat and also the family members if any. Read this in the newspaper today. 8)

Re: DEATH

Wonder if they note GPS coordinates so that the proper county can fill out the death certificate, etc.

DEAD. Don't care.

This societies love of corpses is beyond me.

What are they supposed to do dump em out the back?.........Maybe put em in the cargo hold.........I would be upset if I payed extra money for first class and then they stuck a dead guy next to me :)

Re: DEATH

If it is the same story that I read, the problem was that they moved the body to first class and put it in a seat next to someone. The body evidently kept slipping out of the seat and had to be repositioned. It pretty much freaked out the other passenger.

The guy paid all that money not to have to sit with all the other stiffs in coach, and then they stuck him with one anyway.

Ya know, you simply can't argue with that logic.:/8)

Hmmmmm . . . what airline was that? I have one simple question. Why wouldn't you put him in a bathroom and put a sign on the door "out of order"?

Re: DEATH

If it was a long flight, the body get stiff in an upright position by the time the plane landed. Can they still straighten him out for the coffin? If they stuck a dead total stranger next to me I'll raise all kinds of hell until they move him away. That's just ain't cool at all in my book.:^
