cracked block

boat runs fine but service person tells me i have a cracked block .water is not in oil but leaks in bilged is it ok to weld crack or does block need to be replaced or does anyone have any other ideas thank you in advance

Where exactly is the crack?
What year, make, model of engine do you have?
Raw water or FW Cooled?

You can epoxy external block cracks. JB Weld works, but nothing works better than MarineTex.

Mine was welded and Marine texed 2 years ago and still has no leaks--knock on wood lol. Was behind the Manifold
