1975 85hp sparkplugs

just need to know what you guys think is the best plugs to put in it. right now it has 2 champion and 2 bosch.......bought it that way. it iis on a 1973 crestliner 16'. anythoughts on how fast?...

Champions were the oem brand of choice L77JC4 is the correct plug , gapped to .030. Champion 5828 gapped at .030 is a replacement for that plug.
I personally like NGK plugs and the B7HS-10 is a replacement for the Champion .

Actually, the QL77JC4 plug is better for use around electronic components because of the improved design over the L77JC4. The two plugs are essentially the same design and specifications except for the static problem.

I suspect that is why OMC only shows QL77JC4 in the parts manuals for more recent 85HP crossflow engines.

I doubt it would matter if you don't use radios or fishfinders or transponders or OIS, etc.

it is about 1000lbs dry and the floatation is dry....it is rated for 115hp so what do you think on max speed.....
