1980's 3.5 Mercury Bogs Down On "Rabbit"

I think it is a 1980's. The serial number is 62113192. It is a 3.5 horse power rig.

When we put the throttle in "Rabbit" mode it accelerates for about 3 to 5 seconds, (sometimes immediately), and then it dies out.

Tried to find an online schematic unsuccessfully. Now need your expert advise and help.

d welcome Dan 1 when was carb last given overhall and fuel lines cleaned jimlad

Uh...is there anything special about doing this that we should know? Any disassembly trick? We've never opened up this puppy before.

not really just take your time i cleaned mine with petrol do take care when cleaning the jets i used a pin to clean out the jets do take if you do this dont make the holes bigger than what they are.
