My boat has been lacking power at full throttle. Feels like a lack of fuel pressure. Will fun fine for a few seconds and then sorta lag.

I replaced the fuel pump last season with a new one and it fixed the same problem. The clear hose that runs from the fuel pump does NOT have fuel in it. However, I put my finger over the end and feel a pulsing vacuum. This is normal right?

I have still yet to clean the carb filter and fuel tank filter. Have cleaned all others.

That hose is nothing more than a vent. If the fuel pump diaphram should fail, the gas will go into the hose and into the carb. This keeps the gas from going into the bilge. The pulsing is normal.

Maybe this thread will help you with finding your fuel problem. Don't just assume it's caused by a dirty filter.

btw, Ketchikan is an awesome place. Wish I lived there! I visited a few years back. Definately one of my favorites.
