I am trying to remove the power tilt and trim from a johnson 115 donor, I removed the two large bolts on either side and underneath the engine, also the two screw plates on the lower unit and the bolts holding the steering or w/e to the lower unit, the problem is this, I cannot figure out how to remove this bolt (location pictured below)

here's a closer view

the odd looking nut on top is connected to a rod that goes from the top to the lower unit, this is preventing me from removing the complete steering / TnT assembly / transom mount or whatever it is called. any help as to how to remove this would be greatly appreciated.

That looks like the swivel at the top of the shift rod. It should just unscrew, but if you take the gearcase off it will come with it. Removing the swivel won't help you remove the shift rod. It is held by a foot at the other end.

If you're trying to remove just the power trim, just remove one side of the clamp brackets and unbolt the trim unit from the other side. Shouldn't have to remove the tilt tube. Remove the clips that hold the pin at the end of the trim ram and it should come right out...
