Re: engine oil

I've got a 4.3LX that runs nothing but Mobil 1 15W-50 in it,+ Mobil 1 75W-90 in the Drive......

I've also got twin 318s in a houseboat,.. They've got Shell, Rotella T, 15W-40 in them,....
Their Dana Drives are loaded with 85W-140 EP Gear Grease.....

Like Tommays Says,........ You'll get All Kinds of Answers......
And,...... They'll All be Right...........

Basically,......
If the base is filled with an Oil that's somewhere between 10weight,+ 40 weight........
And it's Clean Oil........

Your motor Really Doesn't Care.................

Re: engine oil

Mine calls for straight 30 weight, been using Rotella T straight 30...stays clean a long time and my oil pressure is a little higher than my old oil brand..
Like Bondo says, everyone uses something different and your motor won't care.Just use a good quality oil..8)

To paraphrase the wise. Any oil, is better.....than no oil at all.......
