I got what i think is a good deal at a local marine store on some glass. Its very heavy. What kind is it? I got it for 1.00 a linear foot. I think its 38" wide. What kind of glass is it? And is it good for transom/stringers/floor?

Looks like woven mat, I would say its the strongest type of glass mat. It's made up of longer woven fibers rather than just random pieces. Its a little harder to work with but you can cut and overlap where it needs to conform. It will soak up lots of resin, and make sure you coat the wood being covered first too. Its tougher to get the resin to penetrate woven mat sometimes, so work in smaller sections when applying resin and make sure its soaked real well.
I've seen guys just brush it on and not get the mat truely saturated and bonded to what ever it's formed around.

North, I have not seen that type before, but I would say it looks like you have got a whale of a deal on some real good heavy cloth. I bit heavy for covering a floor, but perfect to replace roving on some structural repairs.

Yes it is super heavy. I actually ran out of resin trying to ply the back wall together. :(
