Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone might know where my pump and resevoir tank are located for the power trim. I have a 1986 Edson Commander GT with the above motor. Also, is there any maintainance that should be done regularily on the trim? It is working perfectly fine right now.

run you tilt all the way up, look on the transom mount under the engine.

Tilt the engine up to its fullest range and look under it and between the transom brackets. There sits the unit with the electric motor on the port (left) side. The reservoir is on the starboard (right) side.

The only maintainance needed is to spray it down with CRC or WD40 occassionally to get rid of salt corrosion. You could also check the fluid level once in awhile..... engine tilted up to its fullest range, remove reservoir fill screw (the large slotted screw), then simply fill to overflowing.

See that big flat screw on the right side in the pic posted above. It may not look exactly like that but that's it.
