Automotive Tack?

I have a 1984 70hp Evinrude. Will an automotive tack work with this motor or do I have to get a marine one. I was at the marina and the prices started at $130. Just wanted to save some money. I live in Ontario Canada so the prices are a little higher.

Sorry, you need a marine one designed for your motor. Not even all marine tachs are alike.
