How do you tell what type of outdrive is on my boat??(pre alpha, alpha bravo??) My boat was built in '73 and has a 70's 165hp mercruiser..I believe the outdrive is original.. Thanks.
i got a 72 and a 75 165hp L6 engine. both are original and mercrusier model 1's. i'd think yers would be similar.... i think there's a serial number under the 165hp stickers. ya'd ruin yer probalby nla stickers to go see the number, but ya'd know what it is (last resort)...... or
