hi all Ken here in sunny Alberta, well it was sunny that day.
this is my alumacraft, 2005 18' trophy c/w evinrude 150
i looked at lunds 18' fisherman and could not see myself paying 10,000 more for almost the same boat.
as far as comfort, stability, and looks, i love it.
have gotten plenty of complimennts on this boat.
i would recomend lund owners to take a look at the alumacraft line up.
This is just my thoughts.

nice boat, I would love a newer one because of the width know days, We have an older 92 trophy 170. The neighbors tree broke off about 25 feet up and fell on the motor. cracked the crowling. the motor is a 92 115 merc and just for the 2 piece hood was $850.

That boat, house and truck all look familiar. I have have been in that boat and it convinced me to buy one too!

We bought this boat for the same reasons, width and depth.
I have two small kids and with the depth of the boat you can actually enjoy fishing and not worry about the kids falling over board.

hey guys i own the 04 175 cs with the 115 merc. bought it at the boat show in alexandria bay NY. price was unbelievable. like you guys i like the beam width and depth, plus the splash rails provide a dry ride. my wife loves it also, she is the reason we got this boat.

How fast does that 150 push your boat.I am looking at an Alumacraft or a Tracker.Lund's are way over priced.

I had my trophy 185 up to 46 on the GPS with a pretty good load. 30 Gal fuel, 700lb people fishing gear and lunch. These boats have a very deep hull and it takes a pretty good grunt to get them up. I estimate that my eye level is about 6-7 feet above the water level when I am planing. A shallower hull would definately give better performance until the waves got big. I am a big guy and I can walk anywhere in my boat without getting that sinking feeling. Very stable, very smooth.

I looked at Lund Tyees, very nice, but I was convinced by the price tag. $7K-$8K difference for equivalent Lund. Other brands always seemed to have inferior build or lacked features that I wanted. I haven't had anything to do with Tracker, but I would put my boat against any Lund, feature for feature, performance for performance, and dollar for dollar, in my mind, Alumacraft comes out on top.

My Etec can run 42 mph anytime with almost any load and any seating arrangement (aside from everyone in the bow). 19" pitch three blade prop. I haven't tried my 21" prop yet.

I am very happy with my boat. Alumacraft should definately be a consideration for anyone in the market for this type of boat.

I think Ken runs 47-48 with his Trophy 180 and 21" pitch.
