Pertronix II ignition conversion

Ok, Ive done a search on this conversion topic, and I am a little confused on the need for the ESA module wiring.
I have a 1966 mercruiser 110. I was just looking for confermation that I need to build and install the esa module.

An ESA module is an item used on OMC's. You have a Mercruiser which doesn't have one.
