175 SeaHorse lower removal

Going to try and get the lower off this engine today.I don't have a manual yet,just got the boat yesterday.
Any advice to find where to unhook the shift rod and anything else i should know after removing the 5 bolts on the lower?
Is the bolts and the shift rod all there is?
Do i leave it in nutrual?
I know your the pro Dhadley....Thankyou!!

The shift rod disconnect is under the carburetors.

There are two bolts on each side and one before the trim tab, The trim tab bolt has to be removed to get to the last bolt which is hidden above the trim tab - total of seven bolts if you include the trim tab bolt.

Gary, if you haven't go to brp, look at the lower diagram and the crank case diagram.. it shows where they are , cleared my mind a little.

Thankyou! Going to tackle it this afternoon. So it should pull out with the driveshaft and all? Is it ok to use some heat on the bolts if a have a problem breaking them loose?

Put the shifter in reverse for removal and installing. Should not have to use heat on the bolts. If there tight try a LIGHT tap with a hammer should break them loose, clean the bolts and lock tight when going back, don't want water wear it don't belong. Get a manual as soon as possible.
