8 hp Mariner can only keep running by playing with choke

My 8 hp Mariner outboard will only stay running if I constantly play with the choke. I have cleaned the carb, which helped for about 30 minutes. Any suggestions?

Ya aint done..still needs carb work..

Try some seefoam.

did you remove the jets, and clean spotless, reassemble with rebuild kit.
