I have a 65 Lee Craft 18' with a chevy/MC 283 V8. It has the Mercruiser II drive. I am looking for the aluminum ring that goes around the ring gear that rotates the outdrive into the transport position. Any help would be greatly appriciated. The serial # for the drive is 1922659
Thanks

You might look thru the parts listed below and see if you find it listed. You will need to know the correct name for the part. This list covers serial numbers 1602186 THRU 2278488.

Re: Need help finding parts for MerCruiser II

Thank you very much. I was able to get the part. I have not gotten it installed yet but I did have her out on the water last weekend. Not having the ring on means you have climb into the 48degree water to assist the outdrive down. It was awsome to have her on the water. The last time was once in the summer of 99 by the guy that was going to buy it and then the law caught up with him before he had paid any money and the orginal owners did a repo. The last time it was used before that was in the early 70's. All went very well, but I think the 16-1/4" X 13" prop is a little to much of a digger 33mph at 3400rpm. Next time out I am going to try the 14" X 15" that also came with it I think it must be the one that will get about 47mph. At least thats what they figured the top speed was 40 years ago.

I'd have a look at the driveshaft bellows if it sat for 7 years.....;)
