I sat plastic bag from parts store on seat with my new oil in it for 2 days. When I went to change oil I found that I have the name of store printed on my seat. how can I remove it? Have tried everything I can think of. No luck

Goo Gone is great stuff. If that doesn't work a little greased lightning but test it on a small area first, its pretty strong stuff..

Call the auto parts store and demand sponsorship money!!! Maybe you can at least pay for the next oil change that way!;)

Re: stains on seat

I had the same thing happen to the beige leather seats in my brand new '96 Camaro. Thought I would die. Anyway, the trick is most, if not all of those bags are made with biodegradeable material, including the ink. I waited about a week, and with the T-tops off, the sun faded it completely away. No more red and blue auto parts store logo on my seat!

Give it a week or so in the sun and see what happens before attacking the seats with anything abrasive.

Mark.

Re: stains on seat

I did the same thing with a PFD after I picked my boat up new!!

It cooked the name right into the seat. I too tried everything and nothing worked until I tried acetone - i applied it several times directly to the mark and after awhile of rub rub rub it came right off with no damgae to the seat.
I then rinsed it down and put some seat protector on it.

give it a try it should work.

good luck and let me kow

Re: stains on seat

I stained a seat using hot pink crappies bites. Once the bait got wet, I didn't realize it couldn't touch anything until it was way too late. It only touched the seat for maybe thirty seconds!

I was unable to get the pink stain out even with bleach.
