I have a 1984 I am trying to get the bearing housing off. I have a puller on it and it is not budging. Am I missing something? I have loosened the 4 bolts inside of the housing. HELP PLZ
What motor and which bearing housing are you working on? The one behind the propeller? Did you take the bolts clear out? Yes, they can be stubborn, but let us know exactly what we are dealing with.
1984 OMC 5.0L. I am working the the piece behind the prop. I have loosened the bolts, have not pulled them out of the lower unit. I have moved the puller from slot to slot. Apllied a lot of tork and tapped(pounded) on the top of the puller. How hard should it be to pull this out? Any tricks of the trade I need to know? THX
