Should this move?

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow I am going to go look at a set of trim cylinders for my boat. Should I be able to move the cylinder with my own strength, when the cylinders aren't hooked up to a boat or the hoses? (I'm an adult male of average size and stength, haha.)

The trim cylinders I currently have; I can move one with my own strength and the other is completely stuck.

I just want to make sure that being able to move it isn't a bad thing, and that not being able to move it is.

As always, I appreciate the replies, this site is great!

I think it should be the other way around,
can't move = good,
can move = bad.

if the ports are open it'll move quite easily...If you can't move them, there's something wrong. Just watch out - if they're full of oil... it's gonna shoot 10 feet.

Thanks for the replies guys. lol yeah I discovered their ability to fling oil on the one good one I have. Would make a great squirt gun. Except that is kinda hard to aim.
