Ball gear seal removal from intermediate....

After the ball gear assembly is out of the intermediate housing, how do you remove the steel sleeved seals? Do you need a puller of some kind or can you pry them out with a screw driver? I have a factory manual but it talks about using OMC tool # ?????. How about reintalling the new ones? Pound them in with a large dowell?

Remove with a slide hammer that has adjustable claws.

Get yourself an inexpensive seal installation tool kit at Harbor Freight Tools. About $15 I think.
