Suzuki four strokes

I am looking at buying a new boat this year and the boat that I want comes with a suzuki fourstroke 115. Can any please give me some information on these motors. There are not any that I know of in use in the interior of alaska. They use them in the ocean but have not seen any up my way thanks for the help.

you need to consider where you are going to get it serviced. the johnson 4 strokes are redressed suzuki.

service shouldn't be much of an issue since most johnson/evinrude dealers will work on suzuki engines as 99.5% of the parts are identical (different wiring harness and a sensor or 2 are different)

200 hours on mine and very happy with it.

Thanks for the help. I will berunning this motor with a jet unit on it in shallow rivers, in the ocean one time a year, but mostly to fish for pike on the yukon river. Thanks again for the help.

Your Suzuki has an excellent reputation.

Spend the extra money on a stainless steel jetpump impeller. Better holeshots and it cuts down on jetpump maintenence dramatically.
