Well, that is good news!.......:)
You can get away with one battery, but it is wise to have two.....
I would get one starting battery & one deep cycle range......
The bigger the better, IMO....
I would not go below 700 CCA or so.......
The manual will have your min. size.....
Just remember if the one battery gets run down for any reason, there is no rolling downhill & popping the clutch.......;)

Two batteries is not required. Although it could be a good idea. It really depends on your needs. Are you running a trolling motor or a stereo for long periods?

Use two batterys with a switch. Buy two start batteries and a perko 3 way switch.Find a place to mount switch then wire one battery to one on switch then second battery to number two on switch. Then take a battery wire from the common on the switch to the starter. Your done.
When your out and wanna drop anchor and run accessories switch to number two. When your ready to go see if she starts if battery goes dead switch to number one and start the boat . Once running switch it to the all position and it will charge back up your number two battery.
If you leave boat in the water and shut switch off make sure your bilge pump is still has power. If not thats another simple issue you can do yourself
Dont use deep cycle batteries as a start battery they are not designed for a heavy amp draw that a engine starter puts on them
