If you're speaking of the wiring to the ignition switch...... what are the terminals marked on the back of the ignition switch, and what are the color of the related wires?

Joe, the terminals on the back of the ignition switch are marked with an A, M, BM, and an S. unfortunately all the wires leading out are white , somebody changed them.
thanks.

The switch you have will work okay but you'll need to trace all those wire to find out what they lead to.

A = Accessories - Whatever you want 12v applied to when the key is in the ON or START position.

M = One of the smaller black wire that connect to the ignition points.

B = The 12v source leading from the (+) battery, a heavy gauge wire.

M = Small black wire leading from the other set of ignition points.

S = A usually white wire leading to the energizing 3/8" small nut terminal of the starter solenoid. Not the other 3/8" nut that leads to a ground.

I was confused by the one he said was marked BM. Now I see that he just omitted a comma. Should be A, M, B, M, and S. Then it makes sense and is correct switch. Sorry for the confusion.
