safety switch

I had posted a question about two wires coming out of my mecruiser 3.0 foot that were'nt the trim sensor . could they go to the safety switch? I'm referring to the switch on top of the engine that toggles as the shift linkage moves .

Post a picture of those wires, and follow them from the outside. What do they go to.

Who knows, maybe a previous owner had a grand idea and did something completely different.

hey Don ... I got it started by replacing the coil, rotor and condenser . I think the other wires coming out of transom are part of the trim sensor. The switch on the dash will trim it all the way in both directions . The one on the shifter will only move it down. I hooked up the two with the "bullet" connectors but as i said are not sure of the other two.
