Water hose missing on OMC 3.0?

I fired up my '87 OMC 3.0 inboard with muffs yesterday, but immediately saw water pumping out the side of the engine through an valve opening. I had the boat winterized and I suspect that the shop had removed the hose that was hooked up there to drain the water but forgot to reinstall it. My questions would be where does the other end of the would-be hose get hooked to, and where could i buy it? Here's a pic of the opening, in case anyone can help me out.

Is that not the drain opening for the block? Should have a petcock screwed into it. Look around in the bilge should be brass. If not give them a call and ask where they put it.

If you can't find the rest of the petcock Bob mentioned, then remove that fitting and install a brass pipe plug. It'll do the same thing............. Block the hole.

Thank you for the quick replies. I did find the petcock in the glove box but until now didn't realize what it was or what it was for. It didn't think it could plug the hole since the petcock itself is hollow inside except for the very end and then also has 2 small holes, one in each side that would allow the water to escape. I'll try it tomorrow since it's nighttime here right now. I really appreciate your help.

When it's screwed in snug,........ Those Holes are Blocked........
