evinrude 15hp loose propeller

hi everyone :) a new friend of mine has an evinrude 15 hp outboard motor, it has a loose propeller, I was hoping someone here could give me some suggestions on which direction to point him in repairing this. He isnt very computer friendly, so thought I would do a little searching to see if I could fine some help. He has really helped me out a lot, I would like to return the kindness a little *s............thanks so much..........heres what I could find on the motor.......... 1975 Evinrude 15 horsepower

Please be more descriptive than just asking about a loose propeller. Is it loose on the shaft, is it loose from it's hub, is the prop shaft itself loose, etc?

You must have a thrust bushing behind the propeller and a thrust washer in front of the propeller.

Go the the BRP Parts Catalog site and look up the motor, then look at the gearcase diagram.

If you run the motor without the thrust bushing, you can severely damage the gearcase.
