I just bought a boat that has an old Sea King motor on it.
Serial # 36X870774
Model # GG1888058

Was this made by Gale?
What HP is the motor?
What Year is the motor?
What oil mixture should I use?

Also would like to replace impeller for the pump? Where can I get parts?

Thanks for any information.

The model # you gave seems to have too many numbers in it. A GG-18805A is a 1963 40 hp made by Gale. It is very similar to a 1972 Evinrude or Johnson, most parts will interchange. Oil mix is 24:1. Lots of opinions about that. The Johnrude parts books are on-line at http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E Most commonly used parts are available right here at iboats. Or your Evinrude/Johnson dealer.
