tarnished brass

have an old brass porthole that is badly tarnished. does anyone have ideas on how to bring out the shine?

Some Old #7 Metal Polish,+ Alot of Rubbing will do it........

I use TarnX initially on tarnished brass and copper. Followed by Goddard's Brass and Copper Cleaner.

If it still needs burnishing I use a cotton wheel and rouge on my bench grinder, followed by Brasso to clean off any remaining rouge and seal the surface.
