I recently got a boat with an 1150 mercury thunderbolt ignition outboard the serial is 3114282 I looked around and came to the conclusion it was a late 71 early 72? model Anyways when the cowl is off everything looks new under it all new bolts in the head and the flywheel is bright red still. I think the motor was gone through at a point. Anyways I got it and the dist cap and plug wires were gone. I honestly do not know any history on it as to why or whatever but I have looked for a dist cap for a long while now. Anyone know the part no'. for wires and cap and rotary button for this motor? also is this button a pull off style like all the ones in cars as it does not seem to want to pull off.
I have never heard of such...yeah guess I need to dig around.
