so my 50hp hydralocked last weeked and blew a headgasket. Dealer replaced the headgasket and said there was no signs of overheating. Dealer hooked it up to computer and it has never been hot. he replaced the headgasket said he ran it at half throttle for 2 hours straight in his tank and never saw any problems. I took it out today and low and behold after an hour of running at 3/4 throttle the oil was turning white like it has water in it again. Anyone have any suggestions on what could be allowing water into the oil? Cracked head is my only thought.

take it back. they didn't find all the problems. it also could be they didn't flush the oil system, and it still had water in it. on an I/O it takes several oil changes to get it all out. i'm not familar with the engine, but if it were mine, i'd drain the oil into a milk jug. to take back to the dealer. and refill it. i would not let that water sit in my engine until tuesday.

so i did drain the oil out of the engine and followed that up with two quarts of oil i poured straight through to try to remove any leftover water. I took the boat out on sunday and ran it for 2-3 hours and now no water. I let it set for two days checked the oil again, marked the level on the dipstick and took it back out for a 3 hour run last night. Still no change, looks like they didn't get all the water out. Hopefully i am good to go now.
