interchangeable parts

Is there any substitute for a 1979 6hp impeller or cooling kit? How about a merc etc?

Try looking for an 8 hp impeller. The lower unit for the 6 amd 8 were the same. First, if you can't find it through your dealer, try franzmarine at the Chrysler Crew.

Okay, I'll try. The parts usually start at 9.9hp and up. Then some start a no less than 20 or so.

Mercury still sells a 6 HP chrysler impeller for 15 bucks. Part number is 47-F429065-2

I found online for about $16. I need to shop a little more with them because they require a $35 minimum purchase. That's cool with me. At least I found one. Thanks!
