'89 100 hp

Considering a '89 100 hp Merc. Is this a 2+2 motor that drops 2 cylinders when idling? Any known problems with this outboard? How about the oil injection, is it reliable? Also how hard is it to come up with controls for this style?

my opinion, DON"T. vibration at idle is not good.
