Prayers Needed

Need some prayers sent to my wifes nephew. He was swimming at local hang out with others and he was about to jump in the water and slipped and fell,He hit his head and broken his neck (c6-c7 Vertebrae) ,He has no feeling from the chest down. He just turned 19, He is scheduled to have surgery in when they think he is stable enough, He was in the water for a long time and cpr had to be performed but he has no brain damage, but they will not know how bad the damage is until they can operate. The main concern right now is infection setting up in his lungs from aspiration of water.

Prayers sent out to Bradley, as well as that horse. I'd have flies flying around my head too if someone was relentlessly beating me in the nuts.

I'm sorry, but for real, that icon is hilarious.

Seriously, it's so sad how one little slip and fall can be almost fatal, if not fatal, a lifelong injury.

Update on My nephew. He had surgery this morning and a little bit of good news, His nerves in his neck were not cut into but were bruised, Dr's still cannot say the amount of damage was done but will need a lengthy healing process. They are still worried about his lungs as he has aspiration pneumonia and have got him on high doses of antibiotics and steroids. They have him on a rotating bed and is under heavy sedation and will be for a period of time, Thanks all for the prayers as he has a ways to go yet.

Thanks for the update. I was just outside walking and praying as I walked - and Bradley as near the top of the list. Will keep praying for him.
