FedEx Incompetent Apparently LOL

So, I'm expecting this package via FedEx, right?
Well it was shipped on May 22nd (Yes, May 22nd).

I noticed it had a 'delivery exception' on May 24th so I called the online store where I purchased it. After talking to a nice Indian lady she assured me they would take care of it. Well after waiting a couple of days I talked to the online store again. They then told me they had notified FedEx and that I would have to deal with FedEx as it was their problem. (Which makes sense).

So I called FedEx last week and was told I would have it by Friday. Well Friday came and I noticed the tracking information hadn't updated so I called them back. She said it was scheduled to go out on Monday (today).

Well looking at the tracking info, it had ANOTHER exception so I called them again. Get this, they loaded it on the WRONG truck and I "should" have it tomorrow.

At this point its been almost 2 weeks for a 3 day delivery .... its so absurd at this point it has become funny! LOL


Glad I got free shipping otherwise I would be ticked.​

I have had that happen twice with FedEx,The exception thing confused me too.Its either on time or not!
Never had that problem with UPS..

UPS has been to my house several times (since I got the boat that is)
and never had a problem as far as I know.

This has been very bizarre.

If all companies were as good as FedEx, the world would be a better place.

Not sure where you live but often, if you are in the "sticks", FedEx contracts out to other companies to do deliveries. That is when I have had problems sending people things.

Hmm, I have Digital Cable, Internet and Phone through Comcast so it must not be "in the sticks" As I have lived "in the sticks" and didn't have those things but did have running water....most of the time

Here is one I'm still waiting on. It shipped on the 18 of May. This package has been in more states than I have. When it arrived in Memphis it should have then departed to Jackson/Gulfport Ms. Instead look where it has toured and there has been no tracking update since the 1st.

I live on the edge of Los Angeles city limit...no digital cable, no dsl, propane and septic system...yet not considered the "sticks".

i've had 3 fedex screw ups. had a motor go from orlando Fl to calif, instead of Jacksonville, fl. that was the worst. usually a UPS exception is the truck or plane that it was suppose to go on was full, and it goes on the next truck or plane. Nephew worked for UPS.

I have had way more problems with UPS. I rely heavily on FedEx for my vacation rental. Have never had a problem with regular FedEx. Only had a few problems with ground and it is usually the problem with the sender giving a bad or illegible address.

Crazy to dam near stupid. It's been from Pa to Il, back to Pa, then to IL again. It needs to hang a hard left and come on down the hill.

I have had some good service from FedEx, but I have also had two items returned to sender because there is "no such address" as Whitt, TX 76490 (after a major tour of Texas). I went to their distribution center in Ft. Worth and pencilled in Whitt on their map.

I have always gotten good service from UPS and USPS.

I've had UPS call me, telling me that my address didn't appear in their system, and they would not be able to deliver the package. They wanted me to drive 90 miles to pick it up at their sort facility.

I told them to hold on a second, and I handed the phone to one of their drivers, who just happened to be handing me a package.

I just shipped a package I sold on eBay Friday, it was supposed to be traveling to West Palm Beach from Saint Petersburg FL. As of yesterday it was in GA. For those of you who may be unfamiliar: There is no shortcut to West Palm Beach that goes through Georgia!!!​

Perhaps there is a sorting facility or something in GA, but it really seems inefficient to ship something 7 hours north that should be going 3 hours south.​

Just lucky------- Guess that is what I am. I have lots of things delivered by UPS,FedEX, and USPS, so far (35 years of shipping and receiving) good service. I have had the same UPS driver for 10 years and he does a good job considering he has over 200 stops a day----- 1000 stops a week.

I don't think it's too bad, an 18 day trip (thats if it does show today)around the continental US and the shipping was free. The company I ordered it from refunded my shipping fee.

Well I emailed FedEx corporate (CEO, VP and Public Relations contact) about my delivery. Did it on a whim really, as I wasn't really upset, but I got a call back from the VP and from some relations director in Memphis. Funny thing is when I called her back in Memphis, their power was out....If it wasn't FedEx I'd wonder if I wasn't dealing with some small time operation

Didn't really expect to get a call back from FedEx but the phone has been busy today.

Somehow the Zip code on my delivery was listed as 37217 which is Nashville and my zip is 37127 Murfreesboro. So I think someone transposed the numbers when they generated the shipping slip at the online store where I bought it.

Still doesn't explain why after talking to 2 customer reps last week it got put on a truck for Nashville again yesterday

Actually I was hoping I'd get free shipping for life or something
