Have a 25hp johnson that the warning horn "crackles" when you idle up
(right from cold through warm up). Goes away at idle. Today at 3/4 throttle after running it for about 25 minutes it went to solid on (BEEEEEEEEEPPPPP).
Immediately shut down the engine (was pumping water just fine, always does) pulled the cover, felt the engine and could hold my hand on the head for several seconds without any problem.
Let the engine cool (over 2 hours) now the horn stays on without the engine even running - It used to "Beep" then go off before you would start the engine - Now when you turn the key on the warning horn just stays on.
Any suggestions?
How do I test the horn?
How do I test the temp sensor?
