I have a 3.7lx that has no power at the coilengine turnes over but won't start. if I connect a jumper from the battery to the coil she starts up. and if I back feed the coil from the other engines coil she starts. I replaced the slave selonoid figuring that was the problem but still no power to the coil any suggestions.could it be that the voltage regulator is miss wired I just repowered over the winter.

Re: Mercruiser 3.7 lx no power at coil

Start at the ignition swithch and check for power on the purple wire (ign.) on the switch with the key in the run position.
Follow the wire to any fuses, the lanyard kill switch (if it has one) any connections, including the main engine plug, and check the resistor wire in the wiring harness and all the way to the coil.
It would help if you had a wiring diagram from your service manual.
