Impeller, Impellor wrench, wench, and the famous werk, for work....................the last with apologies to 12;);):D as I myself exercise creative license at times. :)

Re: Spell

Here's a complete reply to a thread on another section of this forum. If the author is to see this don't take offense please. I am only doing a show and tell, not a judgement.

"the jack plate is sitting a little more than half more on the raised side but the motor is bolted in the top holes so i have about four inches there to play with looking at the boats at the boat shop the motors ar still a litlle higher than mine were they bolt up so i think i will go ahead and raise it the motor when tilted down is sitting in the water were the exaust holes below the cowling are still in the water so i think it needs to come up a hvae no water pressure issues on plane so i think i still have some room"

Thems is my quotation marks and the spell is not so bad but the author's next reply says it all. Chief Chief

Re: Spell

This is the next reply in full.
" i have a manual jack plate u adjust it and leave it i think dhadley was talking about the tilt and trim sorry about my last post i cant even make since out of what i typed"

I guess that says it all, although everyone else that relpied to this thread totally understood what was said. Chief Chief

Whenever I get a job application containing spelling errors on my desk. It goes straight into the garbage.

And your both missing the best workers/emploies you can find! (not always) This is an example of narrow minded people.
Yeah right... anybody who wont take the time to proof read their resume/application is obviously not an attention to detail person.
I doubt rolmops is taking applications for taco bell employees.

When i was still working in med labs I needed people who were very detail oriented and meticulous. If they weren't able or willing to check their resume for errors, why would I trust them enough to hire them to perform tests which could effect someones life?

The real narrow mindedness is in thinking that anybody can do any job and that the requirements are the same for brain surgeon as for burger flipper.

I could care less how many typos my mechanic makes, but my attorney and tax guy better be spot on.

Occasionally I see eBay items with spelling errors in the title. Now that just baffles me.

 no there is a dif between dumb askes and smart people wheather or not they can spell

but you have allready said you would not have given that mechanic a chance

I am dislexic, I have worked hard all my life to try to spell things so that others can read my thoughts (or whatever). But thats ok, when I want a job I walk into any one of a thousand or more places of employment and have the job before I pick up the app, they could care less wheather or not I can spell, I can fix!

sorry if I seam to be taking this a bit personal, spelling may come easy to all ya'll, but some of us have to work at spelling every day of there life just to be close enuf to be understood. Most of the jobs I have had delt with peoples lives, I worked overhead bridge cranes for 25 years, if I were to have made a mistake someone could be killed. The lack of being able to spell does not mean lack of attention to details. I do spell check and have someone else profread the resume.:D Have a nice day. oh ya I am not looking for a job!

No, I said I throw away resumes with typos that come across my desk. I don't hire mechanics so I wouldn't have the chance to throw away their resume...

I think you read to much into it and I didn't write enough into it.

Peace :zmozstylebonghit:

Oh yeah, Einstein was a physicist, not a tax guy or attorney. It's obvious he couldn't spell... that's why he wrote everything in short hand... E=mc2 :)

Re: Spell

A little late, Bob, but I contend that "Yup" is the correct spelling of a word not used in Vermont. Means pretty much the same as "Ay yuh".
