Re: Rust in Tank on 9.8
last post is probbably right. not uncommon for the fuel to change to a rust colour when old and bad as it will pick up lots from inside of tank.I have washed out automotive tanks with boiling hot water and sloshed it around inside. effectively steaming it. after put in some methanol, or air brake antifreeze to absorb any moisture. inspect inside, if any flaking and rust then you would need to use a gas tank sealer, which i've seen at motorcycle shops. its expensive, and at this point a new tank would be cheaper.
