i have a 1984 90hp johnson that runs pretty good it has the vro set up that i'm still using..it seems to work well. i notice the oil tank is going down...i have no gauges but i think there could be a buzzer in the controlls..is there any way to test to see if i acually do indeed have a warning buzzer...i considered statring the engine and disconecting one of the 2 wire that go to the oil tank but i dont want to hurt any thing..would this buzzer tell me about a overheating issue..or a low oil warning...any ideas would be helpful

To test the warning horn that is probably located in the remote control, disconnect one of the tan wires at the cylinder heads and ground the control end of the wire to the engine block.

With the ignition key in the run position, the horn should sound clearly.

The disconnect should be in a sleeve located a few inches from the cylinder head.
