Feeling 'tupid here.
How do I "unlock" the trailering lock holding the engine up. This is a 90 HP Johnson, ~1985? on a fiberglass bass boat.

I found the switch that operates a hydraulic piston that raises & lowers the engine to the towing position, but there is also a small latch, that appears to keep weight off the piston while being trailered. I can't figure out how to disengage this latch, so the hydraulics can lower the motor. I don't want to loose my casting fingers.
Thanks,

Tilt the engine up until its not resting on the lock, then simply flip the lock to the unlocked position... and there you have it, you can now lower your engine. To replace the lock, tilt the engine back up, flip the lock, then tilt it down until its resting on the lock again.
