I have a 2002 60 EFI.
While I was changing the spark plugs,
I noticed that the drive shaft housing had corroded where the water tube fits.
I removed the power head and lower unit.
I looked at the gasket surfaces on the adaptor
I replaced the drive shaft housing using new gaskets and a new water tube grommet.
I put a little R.T.V.around the water tube hole between the drive shaft housing and the adaptor plate.
I reassembled the engine and ran it for about 10 minutes in a bucket.
I checked the engine oil and found that the oil was emulsified.
Before I dismantle the engine again and check the water tube grommet and gaskets etc, any Ideas?
Thanks
Neil
